This theme, rooted in history, runs like a common thread throughout the entire Theaterhotel & Suites. By the time you check in at our stylish “box office,” you’ll have become part of this unique atmosphere. Each of our rooms is dedicated to an actor, director, or other notable figure in the theater world.
Our “Superior Rooms” also impress with special design elements such as theater mirrors, stage-door lamps, and glass partitions featuring original motifs from the Theater in der Josefstadt, along with many other thoughtful details.
Our unique boutique hotel combines tradition and modernity in a special way. Hardly any other hotel in Vienna reflects this fascinating combination so authentically: a historic building from 1860 meets state-of-the-art technology—from high-speed Wi-Fi to the option of digital pre-check-in.
The public areas, newly redesigned in 2021, offer you the highest level of comfort. Whether in the inviting breakfast area, the modern fitness room, the stylish red billiards room, or our cozy lounge—with us, you’ll start your day relaxed and enjoy a thoroughly pleasant stay. An exquisite glass of wine and selected local specialties are, of course, a must.
Our 54 rooms and suites have an average size of 35 square meters. You can choose between our cozy, traditionally designed “Classic Rooms” and the luxurious “Superior Rooms,” newly designed in 2021.

Our breakfast is the perfect way to kickstart your morning—served daily from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. We serve up everything your heart and palate could desire—from Julius Meinl coffee creations and fresh, organic pastries from Haubis to deluxe breakfast specialties.

FITNESS
Probably the most extraordinary fitness room in Vienna is equipped with exclusive equipment from NOHRD. In addition to the well-known Water-Rower, a treadmill, a cardiobike, a wall bars, a multifunctional tower and much more are available from 6:00 to 22:00. All NOHRD products are made with wood from renewable resources in Germany - ours from solid oak. In addition, you can enjoy an infusion in our sauna daily from 17:00-22:00.
THEATRE LOUNGE & RED SALON
After an eventful day in Vienna—perhaps including a trip to the theater—come unwind in our “Theater Lounge.” Exquisite local wines, craft beers, Viennese gin specialties, and other refreshments are waiting to be discovered by you. Or perhaps you’d like to play a game of billiards? The billiard table in the “Red Salon,” custom-made for the Theaterhotel & Suites, is always ready for you.
