Health is our top priority - our Covid 19 measures:

Dear hotel guests,

For your stay at the Theater Hotel & Suites Vienna, we have taken measures for your safety as well as for the safety of our staff. As changes can occur on a daily basis, we would like to point out in advance that we are constantly adapting this concept to the new regulations.

Current status (Wednesday, 16.02.2022 / subject to change / voluntary list - legal requirements always take precedence):

  • Basic / valid until 4 March 2022:
    • Registration of persons / collection of contact details on site
    • Until 18 February 2G rule (vaccinated or recovered), from 19 February 3G rule (the definition of the 3G rule is unclear!)
    • Indoor FFP2 Mask Compulsory
    • the closing time of 24:00 hrs applies to all areas.
  • Special information / valid until 4 March 2022:
    • Closing time
      • For all areas in the hotel, the legally stipulated closing time of 24:00 hrs applies.
    • FFP2 mandatory masks
      • This applies throughout the hotel (hotel lobby, corridors, lifts, etc.),
      • Children up to the age of 6 do not need a mask.
      • For children up to the age of 14, a mouth-nose protection (MNS) is sufficient.
      • At gatherings - if the distance is less than 2m - masks are compulsory.
    • Exceptions to the 2 G rule
      • Children up to the age of twelve
      • Children and young people of compulsory school age (from 12 yrs. to 9th grade) are equal to the 2G scheme with the full school Ninja Pass.
      • Pregnant women and persons who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons. In such cases, proof from an authorised body of a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours, must be presented together with a medical certificate. The validity of the PCR test must be present for the entire duration of stay. Since Friday 21.01., an official antigen self-test (which is recorded in an official data processing system) may be presented instead of the PCR test result.
    • Regulation for the Semester holidays for children up to 15 years (those born after 1.9.2006):
      • There is a Holiday Ninja Pass for the Austrian school holidays for unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated young people of school age (from 12 to 15 years) from Austria and abroad to obtain an officially recognised 2G status in Austria even without complete vaccination.
      • The Holiday Ninja Pass is provided in English and German and is only valid as proof of admission in these two languages. Only official antigen or PCR tests are valid as proof and must be carried.
      • Detailed information can be found on the Internet at https://www.sichere-gastfreundschaft.at/holiday-ninja-pass/
  • Relaxations from Saturday 19 February
    • The 3-G rule will be reintroduced in gastronomy and accommodation. This also applies to thermal spas and other leisure facilities as well as to events - accordingly, the 3-G rule will then apply in all those areas where the 2-G rule currently still applies.
    • How the 3G regulation is defined is still unclear. So far it was known that for 3G a PCR test is valid for 48h, and if a PCR test is not possible, an official antigen test is valid for 24h. Here we refer to the regulations to be published soon!!!
    • The general FFP2 mask obligation in closed rooms still applies.
    • The 3G rule at the workplace remains in place
  • Outlook for 5 March
    • According to the Ministry of Tourism's release:
From 5 March 2022, all Corona measures will be largely lifted:
    • Night catering, stand-up catering and bar operation permitted again
    • The ban on consumption at events and trade and public fairs is also lifted entirely
    • FFP2 mask obligation still applies in highly vulnerable areas (for example in hospitals), in public transport including its stops and in customer areas of vital trade (for example in pharmacies and in food retail)
    • In all other areas, FFP2 masks are recommended for enclosed spaces.
    • Prevention concepts and COVID officers are to be maintained everywhere
    • General
    • We kindly ask you to observe and comply with the instructions provided and posted throughout the hotel.
    • As a company, we have drawn up a Covid prevention concept for all guest and staff areas. Our staff are trained accordingly, signs are posted and the measures are regularly reviewed.
    • We can assure you that, according to the circumstances, we will do our best to offer you a pleasant stay.
